Berley Lakes

April 2-3, 1983

Snowshoes would have been a more effective means of traveling on this trip. Heavy snowfall all week made ski traveling slow and arduous, at least knee deep most of the time. Our objective was not reached, but snowcamp we did, complete with a roomy snow cave excavated by Tom—we opt to the tent for sleep, however. A gentle snowfall during the night gave way to sunshine on Easter morn—great to be alive and enjoy the beauty of nature. Sharing this experience were Tom Donnelly and leader Glenn Meares.
