Little Nash CraterMarch 20, 1983Due to the snow conditions (lack of it at lower elevations) the group decided to go to higher ground. We drove to the Ray Benson parking lot in the Hoodoo Ski Bowl area and skied northwest across the ““burn”” to Meadow Lake. We had a wonderful view of Three Fingered Jack and Mt. Washington as we skied over the rolling terrain. We ate lunch overlooking the lake. On our trip back from Meadow Lake, we stopped to practice some downhill skiing on a small hill northwest of Hayrick Butte. The day was topped off with a snack at Vi’s Pies. The skiers were Linda Buie, David Fruedenberg, Alyce Perry and leader Mary Ellen de la Pena. |
