Odell, Fawn, and Crescent LakesJanuary 22, 1983Although the odds seemed to be against us, as far as the weather was concerned, we headed for Odell Lodge. While three of us got started on the trail to Fawn Lake, Chuck drove the car to Crescent Lake and hitchhiked back to Odell. He caught up with us as we were eating lunch at Fawn Lake. In the meantime we even got to see blue sky, and the sun made a brief appearance to reward us for our optimism. We had a nice run down to Crescent Lake. After this pleasant trip we lightheartedly drove back to Eugene—in pouring rain. Skiers were Gladys Grancorvitz, Chuck Ware, and leaders Marie-Anne & Andy Thompson. |
