This sixth annual 16-mile Mt Nebo trek took five willing hikers to the top of
this 3,407-ft high point in Georgia-Pacific’s tree farm north of Wendling
in the Mohawk Valley.
The promised “good views” at the summit did not materialize;
indeed, zero visibility rewarded our efforts!
The usual “short cuts” were made (through waist-high gorse/Scotch broom).
Clear-cut areas have proliferated since last year.
trekkers were Mari Baldwin, Don Payne, Betty Legris, Kathy Perkins,
and leader John Cecil.
