A pre-hike sign-up that rapidly disintegrated (one Obsidian misread the
7:00 a.m. start; four nonmembers were involved in a multiple car wreck on
Highway 58 just east of Oakridge . . .), but the remainder eventually arrived
at 8,363 ft Mount Bailey trailhead.
Good weather prevailed all day.
Work members of the soon-to-be ski slopes on the mountain explained some of
the coming developments (which will not apparently affect the hiking trail to
Wrecked (but uninjured) were Meg Janecek-Wall and Earl Wall, Whitey Lueck
and Susan Stuart.
On Mount Bailey were John Jacobsen, Betty Legris, Ruth Smith and leader John Cecil.
