Jones Trail/Clark Butte Trail
April 3, 1983
The snow level having plummeted to almost “zilch” feet, this
early April Jones Trail loop hike should/could have been a snowshoe trip . . .
The old, familiar “rhyolite” area circuit of up Jones Trail, left
onto F.S. Road 1817 and then back down Clark Butte Trail was enjoyed by this
small, avid group.
We crossed paths and chatted briefly with Obsidian Doris Allen (who declined
to join us, even for a reduced trip fee!).
Then back along Fall Creek Trail (muddy in spots, but with many sightings of
Calypso bulbosa, plus a look at the “Indian cave”) went
Barbara Elsen, Bob Foster, Gary and Marcia Trujillo and leader John Cecil.
