Dead Mountain

Seven of us left a, rainy Eugene determined to have our Wednesday hike no matter what! About half-way to Oakridge we were rewarded by clear skies and no more rain until we’d finished lunch atop Dead Mountain. The good trail is a moderate climb. Rain on the way down just made the coffee and fresh baked goods at the Oakridge Bakery more enjoyable. Hikers were John and Pete Cecil, Avram Farber, Karen Houglum, Bryant Mitchell, Fred Schepman and leader Lelia Lee.
