Castle Rock

February 27, 1983

Despite the forecast of rain, eight Obsidians showed up for this hike to Castle Rock. After one unbridged stream crossing and a little off trail near the top, we were on the top in warm sunshine and little breeze. After 45 minutes for lunch and viewing the partly cloud hidden peaks to the east, we were to the cars by 2:00 p.m. and home early. This fine Spring hike was enjoyed by Dan Bates, John Cecil, Betty Legris, K.C. Kraft, Shirley Froyd, Don Payne, Joanne Haines, and leader Lee Hatch.
