Cape Perpetua

The weather was overcast but rainless as we started up Cape Creek from the visitors center north of Florence. After viewing the giant spruce tree a mile up the creek, we were on our way to the top of Cape Perpetua. After lunch out of the strong wind we spent the remainder of the day on the rocks and beach near Devils Churn. Hikers were Sono Enseki, Bill, Maxine, Laura and Stephanie McWhorter, Judy Tufts and leader Lee Hatch.
