Six regular trail workers put the finishing touches to the Hardesty Trail reroute. After removing obtrusive roots the tread was graded, several switchbacks were widened and numerous retainer logs were installed. The difference between the new trail and the old route is astonishing—it may well be the best section on the entire Hardesty Trail. Hardesty relocators were Betty Legris, Fred Schepman, Mary Bridgeman, Helen Smith, John and Pete Cecil, trail boss.
