South Willamette Trail

February 14 & 21, 1983

Two follow-up trips were organized to finish the Crale Creek Bridge handrail on South Willamette Trail. With the posts previously positioned (Feb. 9), the railings were installed with little difficulty. Final trimming and clean up was done Feb. 21 with the remainder of the day spent flagging a long-over-due reroute on a section of Hardesty trail a ¼ mile below Crale Creek Road. The bridge is now complete and awaiting use. Artisans were Helen Smith, John and Pete Cecil, leader.
