Fay Lake SkiApril 10, 1982As our party of 8 skiers rode up Hwy 126 in two cars, some rain began to hit the windshields. When we reached the trailhead on Hwy 22, the weather was cloudy but dry. We reached the lake about 11:35 a.m., ate an early lunch, then started back when it began to drizzle. We arrived at the cars just as it started to rain hard. It was good timing for the easy 6-mile round trip. Our next destination was Vi’s Pies where we killed an hour before heading home. The late season skiers were Emmy Dale, Doris Allen, Heather Anderson, Sandra Larsen, Herb McMurtry, Ben Ross, & leaders Bea Fontana and Wes Prouty. |
