Maklaks Loop

Skiing in the warm rain is different! Sharon suggested that we skip the lunch break, which we did, and it took the three of us—Donn Chase, Sharon Fraley and leader Dot Leland—about 3½ hours to ski the 6.6 mile Maklaks Loop. The steep part up to the ridge had a few limbs across the trail, but the rest of the trails were clear and we did have some good downhill runs coming out. Over at Odell Lodge we dried out some and enjoyed a delicious Genoese cherry dessert. It was a good day skiing in the rain!
