Mount Nebo

November 28, 1982

Sunday, early a.m., and torrential rain reduced our signed-up potential from six to three for this fifth annual Nebo trek to the 4,307 foot high point of Georgia-Pacific’s venerable tree farm in the Mohawk Valley. Noticeable inside the tree farm were the many clear cut areas since last year’s hike. Early precipitation eventually tapered off, but views from the top were limited, and our summit stop was quite brief. Wind-swept on old Nebo were Betty Legris, Suzanne Steussy and leader John Cecil.
