November 24, 1982
It was a good day for hiking with the temperature about, 50 and visibility clear.
Snow on the ground beginning about 1½ miles from the top of Hardesty.
About ½ mile from the top, I saw the clearest bear tracks I’ve ever seen.
Snow at the top measured about 15" to 18".
Excellent view of the Cascades.
Leader stayed on Hardesty while the rest of the hikers continued on toward
Sawtouth for about 1½ miles.
Hikers were John Cecil, Wilbur Groner, Betty Legris, Bonnie Ledford
and leader K.C. Kraft.
