Our planned early start was negated by a tardy segment of the group,
but great weather conditions prevailed and Trail No. 4151 up 8,363 ft
Mount Bailey in Southern Oregon was enjoyed by this small Wednesday
turn-out, more than compensating for the long car ride.
Early snow on Bailey’s “hogs back” was no problem;
Norm discovered several “movable handholds” near the summit,
and K.C. left his famed AHA tee-shirt a-fluttering in the breeze on top,
but a good trip was had by all.
On top of old Bailey were Norm Benton, Wilbur Groner, K.C. Kraft,
Betty Legris, newcomer Kiya Smith, and leader John Cecil.
