Tidbits is one of the high points with a fine view here most of the elevation
gain is accomplished by car and the hike is interesting, but short.
Our party enjoyed all of that.
Two members opted to stop at the beginning of the rock slide and wait at the old
shelter for others to return.
Those who continued on were rewarded with many blue gentians approaching full bloom,
plenty of huckleberries for the picking, and a magnificent 360° view of the
surrounding country and Cascade peaks at the top.
We enjoyed a leisurely lunch in warm sun, picked pie huckleberries just below
the summit and had a pleasant return trip.
Hiking were June Crowe, Del Doremus, Catherine Jones, Alys Riley, Mildred Rocheld,
Margaret Wiese and leader Helen Hughes.
