Jefferson Park

July 28, 1982

It was hot and sunny as we started for Jefferson Park up the Whitewater Trail through Sentinel Hills. Wildflowers were in full bloom, but few were identified by this novice. As we neared the Park, large patches of snow covered the trail, but were no problem in following the trail. Views of the mountain were spectacular showing the north side and Jeff Park glacier. No flowers and few campers yet in the park because of late and deep snow covering about half of the meadows. Enjoying this beautiful place were Margaret Crosland, Gladys Grancorvitz, Bob Foster, Bonnie Ledford, Marshall Pallett, and leader Lee Hatch.
