June 19, 1982
Saturday, June 19 was a gorgeous, warm day to hike along French Pete Creek.
We had no rain.
Fortunately, the Obsidian trailblazers improved the trail the week prior to
our trip, and this endeavor certainly made our hike more enjoyable.
We saw no animals but lots of flowers.
The biologist on our trip helped us to identify “everything”!
We had our lunch just beyond the ninth bridge.
It was a very pleasant eating area adjacent to the creek.
Hikers waded in the water and soaked their toes.
Our trip out of the woods was fast—we were eager to have a piece of
