Rebel Rock Trail #3324

A group of 5 members and 4 nonmembers started hiking from the South Fork-Box Canyon Road #19. Under sunny skies we plodded up and up and then up some more for 5 miles to Rebel Rock Lookout — one of the most photogenic and well-cared-for lookouts in the area. Five of us ate lunch on top while enjoying views of the Sisters, Bachelor and Jefferson, along with the Upper South Fork drain age. There’s still a foot or more of snow in the meadows, but the trail is in fairly good condition. “Rebel Rockers” were John Cecil, Joella Ewing, Vi Johnson, Mola Kalez, Marshall Pallett, Suzanne Steussy, Larry Wilson, Mike Wright and leader Pete Cecil.
