Silver Falls State Park

The “gods” smiled on 21 hikers on Sunday, May 16. The sun shone; the day was warm; the wild flowers were abundant; the falls and stream were gorgeous. Several people will be broke next week paying for film developing. Hank Davies, a forestry instructor from Chemeketa Community College, joined us to answer questions about the vegetation. Those enjoying the trip besides Hank were Angie Barta, Bev and Nicca Baum, Helen Church, Bill and Donna Eimstad, Gladys Grancorvitz, Bonnie Ledford, Dot Leland, Helen Lynch, Carol Mattson, John and Steve McManigal, Roxi Meter, Elizabeth McMullen, Mavis Prescott, Parker Riddle, Doris and Merle Traudt and leader Bobbie Kalbfleisch.
