Shotgun Creek

May 2, 1982

An overcast day greeted us on Sunday, May 2. Due to cancellations, our hiking group was composed of three people. We took the scenic route to Shotgun Creek via McKenzie View Drive. After our arrival at the park, a brisk pace led us to the top of Drury Ridge for lunch. A beautiful dogwood tree in bloom was near our lunch rest. We had a nice, fairly dry trail all the way. We returned to Eugene by 2 o’clock which left plenty of time to work in the yard or for other Sunday chores. Hikers were Barbara and Dick Schram and leader Sandra Larsen.
