Waldport to Yachats

The day was warm and partly cloudy, which made it an exhilarating day on the beautiful Oregon coast. We started the hike at Patterson Memorial State Park and hiked to the Adobe Motel. Fred Schepman, who has hiked all the Oregon coast, described the early history of the area. We stopped at the D.J. Ice Cream Parlor in Florence on the way back to Eugene. Coast hikers were Jay Ashman, Norm Benton, Wilbur Groner, Jeanie Holms, Fred Schepman, Carol Wayne and leader K.C. Kraft.
