Eugene to Cascade Crest Trail—Owl Cabin Way JctMay 15, 1982A “right good crew” initiated the trail building season on Saturday, May 15. The weather could not have been improved on, and the record of accomplishment was impressive. The leader went to the site 2 weeks previously to chain saw out the lops as far as he anticipated the crew would reach. Lunch was enjoyed beyond that point! The crew reached a small lake, constructing approximately ½ mile of the Eugene to the Cascade Crest trail. A happy, satisfying and tiring experience. The right good crew: Emmy Dale, Mary Fulton, Fran Gnose, Jim Kelly, Bruce and Steve Kraft, John Powell, Louise Rennie, and leader Jerold Williams. |
