Gold Lake-Rosary Lake loopMarch 8, 1981Trip began at Gold Lake Road which was somewhat icy. Once we turned off on the trail, we had good snow conditions to Rosary Lakes. Our group kept a strong pace so that we were able to eat lunch on the ridge overlooking the lakes. Lack of snow on the way down from Rosary Lakes to the Willamette pass encouraged us to remove our skis occasionally and walk. For the same reason we used a car shuttle from Willamette Pass to Gold Lake Road. Those skiing were Madeleine & Win Liepe, Jim Redmond, Gene Thaxton, Marge & Don Tull, Tom Johnson, Marriner Orum, with Jan Baker & Jerold Williams, leaders. |
