Hardesty-Sawtooth Ridge-June

December 20, 1981

With zero cancellations and zero “no-shows”, nine keen people departed for Hardesty trailhead on Highway 58 in wet weather . . . WET was the word of the day: We had periods of drenching rain, occasionally heavy rain, and at all times regular rain, except at Hardesty Look-Out when it was snow flurries and at Mount June Look-Out thick, heavy, Christmas card snowflakes. In spite of (Or probably because of) the elements, this was a neat, happy group, who celebrated their survival after 18 (wet!) miles at Pleasant Hill D.Q. on the way home. “Wet hikers” were Margaret Crosland, Ellen Gradison, Wilbur Groner, Lee Hatch, Bruce Kraft, Betty Legris, Suzanne Steussy, Michelle Tambellini, and leader John Cecil.
