Oregon Coast

November 28, 1981

Enjoying this rare and beautiful day at the coast with cool, clear weather and no wind were Doris Allen, Ellen Gradison, Gladys Grancorvitz, Lyn Lagrander, Marshall Pallette, Michelle Tambellini, and leader Lee Hatch.

The day was spent with short trips around Cape Perpetua and the Forest Service Visitors Center. We started with a short trail up Cape Creek to a giant spruce tree, then to the top of the Cape for lunch and viewing in the warm sunshine. After shedding clothes and packs at the car we visited the Devil’s Churn and Cape Care Beach. After pie and coffee in Yachats and an hour exploring the rocks and tide pools, we ended a beautiful day on the beach ’til sunset.
