A true “Leisure Hike” was accomplished on, this Wednesday trip
to Santiam Lake.
Excellent weather conditions, pleasant companions, an unusually l-o-n-g lunch
stop, and absolutely superb views of Three Fingered Jack resplendent in a
new coat of early snow all combined to make this a memorable day.
Little Berley Lake (with its hitherto unnoticed hand-carved sign) and Ruby Lake
were also visited on the way in.
Wednesday leisure hikers were Margaret Crosland, Wilbur Groner, Betty Legris,
Fred Schepman, Suzanne Steussy and leader John Cecil (deputising for Bob Devine,
who was injured in a car accident while scouting this trip 3 weeks previously).
