Cloverpatch TrailMarch 7, 1981The day was damp, misty and the view was obscured by drifting fog. The weather was good Friday and Sunday but Saturday was the day that a weak storm front came through. But, in spite of the weather, we had an enjoyable trip to the end of the trail on the upper road, then out to the viewpoint for lunch. In between we took time to stop and talk about a planned cutting unit which will disturb about 900 feet of the trail. Saturday hikers were John and Dallas Cole, Genie Currier, Ken Harris, Helen Hughes, Wilbur Groner, Marriner Orum, Fred Schepman, Lois Schreiner, Ted Stern, Merle Traudt, Paula Vehrs, and leader Helen Smith. |
