Three Sisters Wilderness

September 6, 1980

We left the parking lot promptly at 7 a.m. not waiting for the maybes, not sures and the question marks. By 9 we were on the trail from Frog Camp on our way to Obsidian Falls, and our lunch stop at Sister Springs. After lunch and rest we headed up the cliff to Arrowhead Lake and on to Little Brother with good views of Collier Glacier and the North and Middle Sisters.

The weather was warm and sunny, so we had a long rest and viewing stop before heading directly for Sunshine Meadow and the trail to Frog Camp. Because it was early, we all decided to take the two mile side trip to Spring Lake. The trip was well worth the time as Spring Lake is as its name implies, Spring fed from the hill and very beautiful. Out to Frog Camp at 5, short coffee stop and home at 8 p.m. Seventeen mile hikers were Debbie Courtland, Ellen Gradison, Betty Legris, Charlie Wright and Lee Hatch, leader.
