Three Pyramids

June 28, 1980

From Highway 20 we took Lava Road 2067 to Rd. #560, which leads to the trailhead. After crossing a fork of Pyramid Creek, the trail runs up three miles through timber, small meadows and some rocks. We found an abundance and wide variety of wildflowers all the way to the top of Middle Pyramid, 5618 feet. The view on a clear day is unequalled when ringed by all the snowclad peaks.

Reluctantly, we started back at l:48 and at 4 p.m. and waved a last good- bye to our days companions, who were: Mary Bridgeman, Richard Eden, Gladys Grancorvitz, Karen Houglum, Bonnie Ledford, Wayne Lill, Ted Stern and Paula Vehrs (leader).
