April 5, 1980
The sky was cloudy and rain threatened as our small group of four started out.
The air was cool but we soon warmed up as this Gold Point Trail is quite a
steady uphill all the way.
Wilbur and Gail went on ahead at a faster pace and got a mile or so past the rock
outcroppings before turning back to where the other two of us stopped for lunch.
We met back at the car at 3 o’clock as agreed and were barely in side when
the rain hit.
A pleasant hike and the first of the season for two of us.
Hikers were Lorene Bressler, Wilbur Groner, Gail Streicker and Leona Mattson, leader.
