We left the parking lot promptly at 8 a.m. without two no shows, but with one no signer. Some people show no consideration. After all, Ma Bell is still in business.
After a short coffee stop, we were at the trail head on Foley Ridge ready to hike to Separation Lake, where none of us had been before. The only problem reaching the lake was crossing the streams. We crossed one long log across the large stream very carefully, and one small one by straddling and scooting on bottoms.
We had lunch near the lake in warm but overcast weather, hiked around the lake and back to cars at 4:45. We arrived home at 7:30 after one short side trip and a stop at the Rustic Skillet.
Hikers were: John Cecil, Bob Fortman, Joanne Haines, Karen Houglum, Lee Hatch (leader) and Betty Legris.
