Hoodoo to Fish LakeMarch 10, 1979This trip from HooDoo to Fish Lake was a second chance reschedule because the trip was “rained out” in the S.E.H.S. parking lot on the first try. We were rewarded with an exceptionally beautiful day. Euphoric, as one trip member described it. The only complaint was that cut-offs or sun shorts were not brought along. We had a long, leisurely lunch near Sand Mountain. Some dozed while others practiced down hill or just enjoyed the scenery or took pictures. Surprisingly, the snow pack was firm and reasonably fast for such a warm day. We took time out to practice on a few slopes and bumps along the way. We were able to find a place to leave a car at Fish Lake so we didn’t hare to take the cut-off to Little Nash Crater. It was a good day for Tim Cook, June Knori, John Lass, Ben & Wayne Lill, Larry Ross, Charlene & John Simpson, Lew Ward, Bill Vasek and Mike & leader Al Niems. |
