Eula Ridge TrailApril 29, 1979After leaving a car parked at the Eula Ridge Trailhead on Highway 58, the party in three cars drove up the Crale Creek road to where it crosses the Hardesty Mtn. trail. A 2½ mile hike up the Hardesty Trail brought the party to the junction with the Eula Ridge trail, then downhill. At least that was the way the leader remembers it, however, we found it to have several relatively level places with even some uphill. But there were a number of downhill places which were very, very steep. It was a good hike with good weather and a courageous party. The car left at the Eula Ridge trailhead on the highway was used to take the car drivers back to their cars up on the Crale Creek Road. Uppers and downers were Emmy Dale, Percival Everett, Jane Hackett, Wilbur Groner, Beverly Soule, Lois Schreiner, Paula Vehrs, Lin Trombley, Mike, Lori & Cindy Wright with friend Stacy, and leader Helen Smith. |
