Little Odell Butte

January 7, 1978

We were greeted with a beautiful sunrise, but most of the day remained grey. The party consisted of twenty-four skiers and one snowshoer—hi Joe! There was only two to three feet of snow, but enough. The snow was good for skiing, not icy like the last time the Club made this tour. Those along on that one will well remember. After lunch the group split in two with the more advanced skiers going all the way around the Butte and leaving quite a few impressions coming down the northeast slope. Assisting in the lead were Glenn Meares, Wes Prouty, Joe Lowry and Andy Thompson. Others enjoying the snow were Donn Chase, Jerry Christensen, Bernice David, Donna Ferchland, Dorcas Haines, Dorothy Hayes, Pat Horton, Richard Henizkill, David and Ann Meares, Hank Plant, Diane Reed, Byron Skang, Cathy and Rod Stroh, Marie-Anne Thompson, Merle Traudt, Dorothy Turner, Arran, Kevin & Parker Riddle, leader.
