Five Falls—McKenzie Area

We went up the Old McKenzie Highway to Proxy Falls. Had a short hike in to see both the upper & the lower Proxy Falls. We then back tracked to the McKenzie Highway and went to Clear Lake to see the campground and improvements at the lower end, and to see the beautiful colors in the water at the lowest end of the lake. From there we went to Sahalie Falls and enjoyed the beauty. We ate our lunch alongside the swift water, and enjoyed that very much. Before heading for home we stopped in to see Koosah Falls. As some of us needed to get back home early, we ended our explorations until another time. We had a good day and a good time and enjoyed our troop of hikers very much. Those who went were Emmy Dale, Stacy Mickelson, Joyce Mitchell, Lei and leader Herbert McCornack.
