Several runners from an orientation race quickly passed us by as we hiked leisurely
up the jeep road to the top.
The weather was warm and clear.
We had good views of the surrounding area with Diamond Peak and the Sisters in the distance.
After lunch we wandered down the other side of the mountain until we came to Pudding creek.
From here we headed cross-country through grassy meadows and creek beds with wild flowers
until we came to the cow path along the river.
Next we hiked through grass fields, past a barn, ending up along the road by the Arboretum site.
On the way out, to our surprise, we came upon skinny dippers enjoying the hot sunny day and
cooling off in the river.
