Beach near Yachats
March 11, 1978
We started from Eugene at 8:00 a.m. minus three signers, who chickened
out because of a few clouds.
After arriving at Yachats in a driving rainstorm, we decided over a snack
and cup of coffee to go down on the beach for a short time even though
it was raining steadily.
Elizabeth chose to return to town to get her car repaired because of a
breakdown in the transmission, which was temporarily fixed by a local
service station man.
The rest of the group put on rain gear and had a very nice long walk over
large rocks and sand about four miles up the beach and return.
We never needed our rain gear and even had some bright sunshine.
