Annual Obsidian Christmas Party

December 16, 1978

About 58 Obsidians and friends celebrated the Christmas Season at a party December 16 at the Lodge. Festivities were set in motion by the blazing fire provided by Ray Sims, and by Marriner Orum’s Christmas tree, for whose selection he gave credit to Emmy Dale. Thanks to the committee, the tree and tables spoke eloquently of the Season. Leona Mattson at the piano and Ron Leland and Greg Schultze were instrumental backup for the international caroling, led appropriately by Carolyn Orum, aided by a tuneful trio comprised of Mary Babarik, Lucille Chapman and Dot Leland. A majority of the (old), girls and boys qualified as good, and jolly St. Nick rewarded them with gifts. It was a good old fashioned Christmas. We wish you could have been there.

The Annual New Year’s Party was called off due to cold weather—the Liar’s contest may be held later.
