Foley Ridge Area (Rainbow Falls Viewpoint)

No new snow forced cancellation of a Fay Lake Ski Tour, Saturday, February 5th, and substitution of a hike into the Foley Ridge area at the western edge of the Three Sisters Wilderness. Eight Obsidians and one nonmember were readily flexible to three changes in the hike plan, caused by road inaccessibility and icy trails, but were rewarded by a spectacular view of Rainbow Falls to end a trip which otherwise might have been frustrating. These on the hike were: Gladys Grancorvitz, Henrietta Richmond, Joella Hadland, Dorothy Hayes, Parker Riddle, Helen Smith, Merle Traudt, Paula Vehrs and leader Charlene Simpson.
