Bohemia MountainJuly 23, 1977The hike, called a field trip in the bulletin, started from Bohemia Saddle, went up Bohemia Mountain observing many flowers on the way. The garden on top was past its prime and had been trampled by the Bohemia Days visitors July 16 and 17. We came down and had lunch at Bohemia County Park before following the mine trail down over Musick mine. There were more flowers on the way as well as several mine tunnels to look at. We found the mine and dump posted so hiked out the upper road and back to the cars, finding more flowers on the way. A very nice group about the right size and a fairly decent day, not wet and not too hot. Hikers were Larry Cooper, Emmy Dale, Ken Hixson, Dot Leland, Tom Pringle, Elizabeth McMullin, Charlene Simpson, Jeanne, Brant and Shawn Wojack, Paula Vehrs, and leaders Robin and Ken Lodewick. |
