Fog to the south—haze to the north—view limited (North Sister to Thielsen), and vague at times. Trail and weather good.

The group was tops, attentive, with questions as to areas and conditions (plants, trails, roads, ownership of areas, access and restrictions, if any). On the way in (BLM Lost Creek Road) flushed two deer near Eagle Rest Trail.

Hikers were Bobbe Dyer, Evi Jucker, Ann Kalo, Ellen Kotz, Clarence Landes (leader), Helen Miller, Lois and Bill Morse, Elizabeth McMullin, Amy Rich, Karen Seidel, Merle Traudt, Greg and Milton Wannier.
