French Pete Creek TrailJune 5, 1977There were thirteen hikers that didn’t change their minds. It was the first sunny and warm day in quite some time and this, combined with the unparalleled beauty of this cherished part of our wilderness had everyone caught in the best of spirits. The trail was still a bit muddy but improved in the higher altitudes. Six rustic bridges cross the stream and we made halt after crossing the last one. After lunch half of the party ventured farther up the trail, while the rest lingered by the rushing water. This happy day was joined by Gladys Grancorvitz, Vi Johnson, Dorothy Leland, Joe Lowry, Bruce McConnell, Doris McConnell, Shari Perrera, Merle Traudt, Dorothy Turner, Paula Vehrs (leader), Mike, Lori and Cindy Wright. |
