Shortly after we started up the trail we found fresh snow (at 3,000 feet!). There had been a fresh snowfall during Saturday night and the trees were beautiful with their coat of white. We found a few patches of old snow near the top and several inches of fresh snow. The day was drippy wet with sleet and snow falling on us during our trip back to the cars. But in spite of the weather it was an enjoyable trip with Emaline Dale, Gladys Grancorvitz, Ruth Romoser, Lois Schreiner, Barbara Durchanek, Merle Traudt and leader Helen Smith.
