May Day Pre-Breakfast Bike RideMay 1, 1977This was the third annual May Day (or Mother’s Day) pre-breakfast bike ride. All went well. No flat tires, no one was knocked off of their bikes and no one got lost. We used bike ways and bike trails as much as possible touring perhaps 15 miles mostly on the north side of the river. I didn’t dare go any further as I could hear hungry stomachs growling and I sensed the threat of mutiny. We arrived at the Lodge by 10:15 for a super scrumptious breakfast. Those making the tour were Joy Ball, Dorothy Hayes, Lee Hatch, Parker Riddle, Wes Prouty, Jan Middleswart, Bob and John Moffitt and leader Marriner Orum. |
