The first trip of the season to leave under Daylight Savings Time had its
First, the leader Lois Schreiner had to find a substitute, then of 18 people
signed up six failed to make it probably because of the time change.
However, the party which did leave town at 8:00 a.m. in three cars had a
pleasant trip to the trailhead.
We arrived on top by noon, then on our way back down we took the Trout Creek
trail—all of us but the three car drivers.
This was a good trail which gradually dropped down to the highway.
The wild orchids were in bloom but the water course which we usually have at
the beginning of the trail was completely dry.
We did find a few small snow drifts on top.
