Our party of ten left at 8:15 a.m., crossed the Willamette on the Buena
Vista ferry, and arrived at the trailhead at 10:55.
The sky was partly cloudy, and the wind was light.
It felt cool or warm depending on the shade and the wind.
We passed through the delightful rain forest owned by the Nature Conservancy,
which was carpeted with oxalis and candy flower.

an English couple in street clothes.
We returned through Corvallis and Peoria, arriving home at 5:20 p.m.
Enjoying the outing were
