Beach from North Jetty Siuslaw to Sutton Creek and then into the DunesMarch April 2, 1977The group of 13 journeyed to the North Jetty of the Siuslaw in fair weather. After looking for seals in the river mouth, they hiked and beachcombed their way to Sutton Creek then to a warm cabin for lunch. After lunch we hiked into the dunes observing patterns in the sand and dried up ponds. The weather turned sunny in the afternoon. We left in time for most to get to the lodge for the program Combing the beach and dunes were leader Ewart Baldwin and Margaret, Marian Borchardt and son John; Dorothy Burton, David Byrne, Joan Cofer, Annie Kalo, Clarence Landes, Elizabeth McMullin, Mike Northrop, Hank Plant and Lois Schreiner. |
