Pioneer Gulch

February 14, 1976

The party of six on skis or snowshoes was happy to find fresh snow, for this trip, after several icy snow trips this year. We did have some problems, however with snow sticking to, and building up, on the bottoms of our skis.

It was a pleasure to have one of our Obsidian Explorers (Glenn Miller) on the trip. He had more fun than most of us did because his converted downhill skis performed better on the sticky snow.

Celebrating Oregon’s birthday at Pioneer Gulch were: Bev Juilfs, Glenn Miller, Helen Smith, Ted Stern, Merle Traudt, and Wes Prouty, leader.
